A few years ago I had an ultrasound done at 8 weeks (Transvaginal) and there was no heart beat. My Doctor was a little worried but thought that I could have had my dates wrong. He sent me to get my HG (?) levels drawn to see if they were where they were supposed to be. They were a little low. So he wanted me to wait till 11 weeks and come back for another ultrasound. There was still no heart beat and my levels went down significantly since the first draw. I ended up miscarring at 13 weeks.
What did your doctor say? Was he/she worried? Did they tell you to come back in a few weeks? Did they test your hormone levels with a blood test?
I hope that your dates are just off a little and that everything is just fine. Don't stress but i'd call and ask your doctor what he/she thinks is going on

I recently had an ultrasound (I was unsure of my dates) and there was an egg sac but no heart beat, we were told we wouldnt have one till 6 weeks, 2 weeks later I went back and there was a perfect 163 bpm heart beat. I was 7 weeks 3 days. Either you are not 9 weeks or there is something wrong. What did the dr say about no heart beat? I hope everything is ok!

They can usually pick up the heartbeat via ultrasound at 7-8 weeks. Maybe you aren't as far along as you think. Even 2-3 weeks makes a huge difference in what they can see using ultrasound.

I believe around then you can see a heartbeat..but if may be too soon. I know the heart develops around 6 weeks. I know that they usually can't hear it with a doppler until 12 weeks. If the doctor isn't concerned yet you shouldn't be either. Try not to worry...you and the baby are probably fine.

you should see a heart beat a 9 weeks i had one at 9 weeks as well with this pregnancy and the doctors could see a heart beat.
but don't be too worried, the baby could have been lying in an awkward position and they couldn't see it.if the doctors are worried they will tell you.

At nine weeks, a heart beat should be visible via ultrasound. If your doctor listened to it with a doppler, you probably wouldn't be able to hear it, but it should be visible using an ultrasound.

I saw the heart beat of both of my pregnanies at 7 weeks, it might be to early to do anything, I would say give yourself a little time. Probably the heart bit is there but not visible in the us. I hope that everything works for you and God bless!

If it was a transvaginal ultrasound you would be able to see it clearly. Sometimes it depends on the ultrasound machine and settings used.I wouldnt worry too much dear, give it time and relax.Dont let some of the inconsiderate answers here worry you!
