It depends on the state you are in.
I live in ND and changed my first and middle name. For me to do that, I filed a petition to change name form and brought it to the district clerk of court. I paid a fee, waited for a few weeks for the request to be granted, then got a certified copy of the name change. I then changed my license, s.s. card, etc. I think to change your last name you would go through a similar process, except you have to place a notice in the paper for 30 days.

You need to do a legal name change. The laws and paperwork vary from state to state. There are a number of services that offer the paperwork you need or help in processing this paperwork -- for a price. For example, the service linked below charges $49 to download forms and instructions or $169 to walk you through the whole process. A less expensive way to go would be to find the government website for the state where you live and look for the information on how to change your name there. Once you succeed in changing your name, you must also change your name with the Social Security Administration.

The only way I know is when you become a United States citizen you change it on your certificate and that's how it comes on your passport. However, if you are a US citizen then you Can buy a book from Amazon or even Barnes and Noble it is called
"How to legally change my name" and it will guide you through the court process, as it has to be done through United States court.

If you do not have the money to change in in the court. I believe that you can run it in the newspaper as a notice for 30 days and if no you contest it then your name is changed. Otherwise check with the court system.

You can have that done by a judge.
I remember seeing a guy in a TV interview at a Star Trek convention, who had his name changed to James T. Kirk and he drove a minivan painted like a space shuttle.

Contact a lawyer. If you live in MI, you can just go to the court house. It cost about $100 in my area and you need to see the judge to do it.

It relies upon on the occupation I truly have. If I did shop my final call, i could have my little ones pass by my husband's call through fact I have already got hyphenated final names. think of having 3 final names! that ought to be extremely a mouthful.
