As long as that democratic system elects people the neocons don't like it would.

That's a difficult question.
If they had it today I believe it'd fail. Only because of the extreme diferences in opinions. Too much violent beliefs against eachother. If it was established before people over there got in such a way... then it would've been able to work. RIght now, the only things stopping democracy is opinion. Lots of people there, especially the ones involved politically, are very opinionated.

Its more like a demorcratic society that has the cajones to stand up to people who arm themselves and break international law.
