Ocean, always moving, always changing, always doing something :)

Easy answer - the ocean.

Reasons:

Each grain of sand is virtually the same as the next one, the same color and size and density. How boring to be lying motionless next to others who are identical to each other, all existing in the same place.

The ocean has endless diversity, from strangly shaped jellyfish with their long tentacles, to electric eels, to colorful coral reefs, to the largest mammals in the world.

The sand is not alive, the ocean teems with life.

The sand does not have any movement of its own, it just can get tossed around or moved by something else.

The ocean's waves are powerful and capable of capsizing a large ocean liner, or can be so gentle to become foamy bubbles at the shoreline to tickle a baby's toes.

Sand is static.

The ocean is a living stage with innumerable births and deaths.

How could there be any comparison?

I'll be the SAND; I want to breathe! Stay calm not restless as the ocean. Love to be Close to the people.

I much rather be the ocean teaming with life than sand where people trod upon me and lay upon me all day long.

The ocean...it is such a beautiful mystery with a life of it's own. Whatever it takes it will give back somewhere else. It's very powerful and gentle at the same time. It is full of life but will not hesitate to take one.

Neither , you would be tossed to and fro being the ocean and if you were sand you would eventually cease to exist because it finally gets ground into oblivion

As a woman I would rather be the ocean as it sustains life just as a woman sustains the life of a baby.

"Mother, mother ocean, I have heard your call...."
