sounds like a build up of wax in the ear where the water gets trapped. I've had success using ear candles to get this excess wax removed.
To buy ear candles see your local health food store,
or search the net, lots of sellers there.

just at the doctor today with earache. swimmers ear . got prescription for this due to it caused infection , but doc said put couple drops of hydorgen peroxide in each ear , to avoid this problem in the future . something with the fizzing of the peroxide will clear out water and help it drain

tilt your head to the ear with water, raise up the opposite leg and jump up and down on one leg while pulling the ear with water.

U put ur hand over ur ear and push then let go or lay on that ear until it comes out, if it hurts put awarm rag over ur ear

use this stuff called swim ear, you can get it at any drug store!!
put it in your ear after a swim,shower, anytime you have water in your ear!!!

dab a little of alchohol and water onto a q-tip and use it to clean your ears.
