It was my birthday many years ago, before I landed a job. I was really broke at that time and I just planned to spend my special day quietly and alone in my rented room. At 5:00 a.m. I heared people singing outside my room and when I opened the door I saw several of my friends serenading me and bringing with them all kinds of native delicacies. I really cherished that moment. It was the best birthday celebration I ever had. The foods are just typical Filipino dishes but for me they are the most delicious food I've ever tasted.
