After much hesitation, I have decided to buy the Texas Instrument TI-84 Plus SE Graphing Calculator. Where should I purchase it from? (cheaply and reliably) Do these things break down easily and need to be fixed/returned sometimes? Should I buy online (which might be cheaper) or at a 'local electronics store'? If online, which website?

Thanks!

I've had a TI-83+ for 4 years, and it's never broken down. I think graphers are on sale this week at Office Max.

Wal-Mart, Radio Shack, Circuit City, Best Buy, Target, and probably your local grocery superstore.

I got mine at Target. You could try some electronic stores like Radio Shack, I guess.

You should try Target. That's where I got mine and they said if you keep all the items and the barcode and anything's wrong with it, you can get another one (you just have to use your driver's license to exchange it). And a big plus: no shipping!

Unless you abuse it, it will not break before you're done using it. More likely you will loose it. So get the cheapest one. Ebay or buy used if you can.

Best Buy and get the warranty. I had to get my son's replaced three times.

Try eBay. We used those in HS and never had problems.
