From what language came our "w" sound, as opposed to "v" sound of other languages?

Most obviously in English, why isn't it called "double v?"

Since "u" is a vowel and "v" is a consonant, how did that happen?

Were "U" or "V" letters first, and did "W" come along as an addition?

Turn it upside down and you have an "M"

Draw some points on the end of the W for some long boobies.
