I am divorce, we had two children. Reconciliation was tried with a chaplain. I felt like we were better friends apart than we were together. If you are afraid that being separate will send you further apart, then I am afraid to tell you that you are already there. You just happen to be in the same house, but in a different reality of consciousness. Make sure that you guys weigh the pros and cons, before you decide anything. Good luck!

#1 Do you truly love him?
#2 Does he still truly love you?
If so, then see a better counselor, seperately each of you, and one counselor together.
If you have doubts or you feel the love is gone, then it is time to separate and see what follows. Some time apart could help you see clearly. How did you end up married? Where you too young? Have you both changed and grown apart? Are you both miserable? Is it worth it? Think this thru...and remember you only have one life.

I would suggest counseling or asking your minister to council you. Sometimes taking a break isn't the best Idea..Try and work it out this way if possible and see what happens. It cant hurt and its alot better than just moving out or your spouse moving out without trying. If things aren't better after the counseling, Maybe you guy do need a break. Best of Luck to you and your partner!

When I was going through a divorce the marriage counselor advised us never to stop living together, because the majority of women will find that life is easier with there husband and they will not work there marriages out. I highly recommend seeing a good, reputable counselor especially if you want to make it work. Good luck

What are your differences
why can't you reconciiate
have you explained each others side to each other to see if that is what the other is really saying (in other words this is what i hear you saying to me)
ask yourselves do you want your marriage or not
if you do then you do whatever you need to do to save it and if you don't work to not hurt each other but move on

pending on the reason, the number of years together and any attempt on counselling....if you can built a better life apart obviously you are not meant to be together. either one or both of you are holding each other back....

Can't or won't? If can't is truly the right word then yes you should 'take a break' and consider it permanent. If its won't then someone needs to adjust their attitude and get with the program.

I would try to stay together and work things out. Once apart it is real hard to work things out - most people go their own way - its easier to walk away than to stay together and make it work.
