Better if action, mistery and/or fiction. What's your favorite book?

Tolkein is a good author, The Left Behind series is really good, whether it's the adult or the teen series. My personal favorite is the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, if you've already read that i suggest some C.S. Lewis.

Mitch Flynn is best action, CIA assassin, type writer. Read all his books. They are great.
Dune is my favorite sci fi book.
The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my very favorite books.
Robert Ludlum wrote a couple good Jason Bourne books and Matarese Circle (and Countdown) books.
Without Remorse by Tom Clancy is my favorite Clancy book.
Nelson Demille has written several excellent books.
Oh here is a good one. Matthew Reilly writes very entertaining action/excitement type books like Area 7, etc. Trust me on this. The action is non-stop in all his books. I enjoy them.
Another book I really really enjoyed, ok two, by Louis L'Amour Is Last of the Breed (Not western. American Pilot shot down in Russia, escapes prison, reverts back to his Indian roots. Hunted throughout Siberia) and Jubal Sackett. Those two: great.
Off the top of my head, those are the ones that popped up.

I have large collection of Brian Lumley's Necroscope series. They have a mixture of action and mystery, not to forget horror and science-fiction. Enjoy the books.

My Favorite book series is the IN DEATH series by JD ROBB(AKA NORA ROBERTS) They center around eve dallas and roarke they are set in the future and are romantic suspense mystery and sci fi all combined into one!!!!!
I also love the harry potter books & The plumb series by janet evonovich!!!!!! Anything by phillis a whitney and mary higgins clark!!!!! Sue grafton and the kinsey milhone series!!!!! and carol higgins clarks Regan riely mysteries!!!!! Also johnathon kellermans Alex Deleware series and patricia cornwells scarpetta novels!!!!! And tony hillermans Series with joe leaphorn and jim chee!!!!

defenaty the left behind serise they have a lot of action in them they r really really good i wasn't able to put them down and now i am at the 32 book or something like that. try those, they r really good. :)
