All has to do with security and feeling internally at peace. I don't use anything - and I'm older - happy. Everyone today things they're going to outlive death - but that's not the way it works. I admire people, especially actresses, that are ageing gracefully. Lines in the face are years of wisdom and tell a story. Imagine Paul Hogan (crocodile dundee) without all his lines.... gives him character!! Hate guys who dye their hair too - stupid..... just be who you are - where you are.

Well for those kiddies who are still struggling with english? Keep trying- they do have adult education classes available.

Plastic surgery is used to correct things that have gone wrong- such as a masctomy (removal of breast) due to cancer.

Botox is actually a neurotoxin that kills the nerve- once the nerve is dead the muscles relax and helps get rid of the wrinkles.

Some people who are very obese need plastic surgery to lose hundreds of pounds of fat. Some- such as myself- are muscular all over EXCEPT our stomach and "love handles"- the ONLY way to get rid of them is by surgery.

When you get close to 50 years old, and you're hauling around a few hundred pounds of fat it gets heavy- to the point where walking is difficult, it becomes a health issue.

Why? Speaking from experience, plastic surgery makes all of the parts that have gone south, stand back up at full attention. Because what you didn't have before, you can get by paying a nice doctor to give you good meds to go to sleep. When you wake up, you have boobs!!! Great concept eh? Wish I could go to sleep and wake up rich!

With so many women getting botox and plastic surgery, its almost embarrasing not to. You end up looking older than your friends, and nobody wants to look like that. Its all peer pressure and wanting to look young again. I have no idea if I'll be able to go "all natural" when I'm 50 or 60...I hope I am brave and secure enough. :)

Because there is a huge industry devoted to cultivating and reinforcing cultural stereotypes about what is beautiful, and especially to reinforcing many people's negative self-images. It is basically a kind of induced mental disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, assisted by massive media blitz promoting these unhealthy images of what a person should be.

Self-confidence is beautiful at any age; processed, plastic, superficial people are invariably ugly.

You'll understand one day. Although I'm only 25, I've already had a fair bit of plastic surgery. What's wrong with wanting to feel better about yourself?

what is a "bot ox"??...lol just kidding...umm, you know I've asked the same question to one of my aunts and she said, "wait till you get to my age and you'll know why"...shes in her late 40's and I'm in my 20's and watching women struggle with aging, it just makes me wnat to take better good care of my skin everyday so that when I'm old, I don't have to get "bot ox"...lol I guess you have to be in their shoes to know how they feel inside...to me, if it makes them happy and they can afford it, I don't have a problem with it...it's a personal decision not anybody elses

oh I agree with you there. I hate fake people. All this junk is rediculious. I have small boobies...I don't care. I even wear sports bras....they look even smaller. I have freckles and small lips...I accept myself for what I am. It's VANITY! I don't think that it's so bad if its surgery becuase of scars or burns or a birth defect. but IT'S JUST STRAIGHT UP VAIN when these women are getting size DD breasts!!! Girls these days are so horrible about not feeling beautiful and go get all these nose jobs or boob jobs...I don't know....Sorry. touchy topic for me! obviously...I'll stop!

Because the media and society have done nothing but make women feel they are unattractive if they don't look like models and celebrities. I wish there were more strong women out there, who had enough confidence and self-esteem to be happy with what they were blessed with.
