Money and success does not always mean "happiness". I am a 31 year old educated woman, and sometimes I get down. I think it is so easy to get focused on what we don't have, instead of truly rejoicing in what we do have! I know that is my problem. I think about the fact that I am STILL not married and I don't have kids instead of thinking all my many blessings...like my loving family and friends, my education, my house, my wonderful job. When you start to get down, just remember your blessings and keep your chin up!!

OK dude, you want to be happy then keep the cash at home !!!
You live some where and that some where has a school system.
Buy them books, sports equipment, sponsor a class trip to a museum, Sponsor the school with plants and things so the kids can do a garden or landscape the school.
You can do so much for the good of your community by spending some time and some cash on the kids.

The things you have may bring you security, but that does not mean happiness. Has not being happy been a theme throughout your life, or is this something new? If there is an element missing from your life then you need to examine what it may be. Judgmentally, being unhappy is not right or wrong. But, there is something on the inside telling you that all is not the way it should be.
We all want to be happy, because current society dictates it. But, how many of us are truly happy? Most of us just try to survive and keep our feelings in neutral.

It's is natural that you feel the way you do and proves entirely that money and materialism are no cure to being happy.. But it shows that you are very much human and also that you have a beautiful heart.. Your intentions are to be commended. And at some point in your life if you have not gotten their already, you will lean on GOD more because in all honesty he is the only cure to man kinds sufferings... He sees the good in you and draws those kind hearted to him.. In the mean time, keep positive thoughts and I am sure the more good things you do, the better you will feel.. And just remember, it does not always have to be in the form of money, it can be given with your heartfelt time helping others. ~ Sincerely ~

You became unhappy if you are not contented. Just like in a song, "in the eyes of a child there is joy and laughter". Why, because the child is contented of anything you want to give. They expect nothing but they feel overwhelm when they have something.

strange question - do you mean is it culpable to feel unhappy, do you deserve a spanking?
if you feel unhappy, you feel unhappy, it isnt in your power to just change your feelings for no reason, you could only pretend to feel happy, or say: yes, i feel happy
we are given the game of pursuit of happiness
a lot of happiness and love and meaning is in the pursuit of happiness
when we pursue happiness, we are happy - and when we catch some happiness, going after more happiness
happiness is infinite - it is inexhaustible - there is always more and you are right to never pretend to be content when you are not
your nature is not finite - your nature is infinite - and your nature is never totally satisfied until it has infinite happiness
it is not true that you are supposed to be satisfied with finite happiness
no, there is always more you can learn about happiness - and more you can learn about your nature and what will satisfy it
it is the ONLY DUTY of every creature, to pursue more happiness -
now that you have succeeded in getting money which provides all your basic needs and millions of wants, you have a long way to go before you exhaust the possibilities of greater happiness
i can prove in a minute that you can be at least a 100 times happier than you are now
proof: if a govt took 90% of income permanently off 90% of people and gave it to 1%, everyone will agree that that will cause a reduction of happiness in that society by a factor of at least 100 - not just the loss of money to the 90%, and the loss of power and freedom to the 90%, but also the increase of danger to the 1%, the decrease in social pleasure for the 1% and the violence, ever-escalating, for 100%, as both sides try to win, the 1% to keep, the 90% to get back - and the million offshoot problems of suffering health, education, etc, etc
we have injustice even more extreme than that, therefore you can be 100 times happier
justice is essential for happiness - we have super hyper extreme injustice or theft, therefore we can be super hyper extremely happier
1% get over 90% of world income - US$70 trillion a year - 90% get between 10th and 1000th of average -
with justice in pay, everyone including housewives and students would be getting US$15 an hour, every family working average hard would be getting US$75,000 a year
which would obviously be at least 100 times happier for everyone, including you
freedom from tyranny, fascism, social stresses, war, most crime, poverty, starvation, etc
the whole world safe and friendly, everyone unplundered, plundering bridled
you know most of the violence [war and crime] is caused by injustice [overpay and underpay] because you know what violence, unsafety, unhappiness, troubles, problems, would be caused by a govt taking 90% off 90% etc
how to destroy the injustice, which has destroyed 99% of your happiness:
99% of people are underpaid, so a huge majority will desire justice - therefore they can get it, by the force of their majority - as soon as they are aware
all adults in the world can be made aware of the reality in just 31 times the time it takes to tell two people - [tell two people fully, so that they see the reality - maybe a few months of chats]
if you need or want a greater majority, justice is better for the 1% too - pleasure increase with overpay is slight, danger increase with overpay is great - fairpay satisfies almost all desires, leaving little for overpay to do - except make the overpaid victims of attack from underpaid [eg, ceausescu, plutocracy in french revolution]
so getting the word out is easy - just telling two people is enough - for everyone gains enormously, 99% at least will be keen
getting the necessary laws is easy once the majority is got - just laws limiting fortunes to justice, ie to the maximum a person can put into the social pool of wealth by their work in a lifetime [US$2 million - proof elsewhere] and spreading the overfortunes equally, electronically, directly, fully among every human on earth [everyone to open accounts, one account per person to receive the share of the overfortunes, govts to pay the small costs of set-up and transfer - govts benefit greatly from the money inflow, and from the reduced violence costs]
there, you were right to feel unhappy - you can be at least 100 times happier
here's a bit of fun: try to convince the author that there is a rational reason not to do this plan
the plan is either good or not - if the plan is good, there is [by definition] no reason not to do it - if the plan is bad, the rational reason can be pointed out to the author
so you have three choices, two rational and one irrational [insane, nonsane] - do the plan, identify and point out the faults in the plan [or your misunderstanding be pointed out], or irrationally walk away without a reason
now you have a project for increased happiness: check out this plan for faults, submit your claims of faults to the author, do the plan if no faults can be established to your satisfaction after openminded unbiassed discussion, forget the plan if grave faults are found
pursuit of happiness is happiness - pursue happiness all the time, with all your energies - we are so often wrong, there is always some way we can improve our happiness
as proved above

Everything you have seems....materialistic, not that its not good, I can't wait till I have six figures in the bank but you might be feeling lonely. When a person feels lonely, nothing makes them feel better, only not feeling lonely will help.
Best of luck to you!!!

Maybe you just haven't found yourself or what you really want to be doing; or maybe you DO know what you really want to be doing and you're afraid of change. Why not use a little of the 6-figure account to find out for sure?

Follow your passion...maybe you're not living your purpose in life and you're not passionate about your job. Ask yourself...If I could do anything in the world...what would it be? Sounds like you followed your intellect but not your heart. Look deep inside and find your true talents, joys and abilities and find a way to money doing that...hope you discover your inner joy...Namaste

Happiness is not rated by your degree or your bank account, it's about finding your purpose in life and following it to the best of your ability. It is good that you acknowledge those less fortunate than you though.
