Leave now.
If he "loved you", he would never abuse you, period. In front of the kids is worse, because they could become abusers or abused, as they consider this "normal" behavior.
There is no honest guarantee that he has changed.

The chioce is yours and yours alone since you have to live with it. If all he did was lay his hands on you and nothing else and it comes down that he wasnt trying to hurt you in any way, think about it. But if he is beginning to show an abuse pattern, by all means get hte kids and you out of there before something serious happens. You really dont want the kids learning any of this crap either. So you must decide whether its worth staying in a possible future abusive relationship or call it quits now and move on, if not for you, then for your kids sake. Now if he hurt you thru those actions, the answer is clear cut, get out because its only beginning. Try and get him help if hes willing and wants to save this relationship. Good luck

No you weren't, people that really love you don't abuse you so thats your first mistake. Is that really what you call love? An abuser keeps abusing and it just gets worse so if you go back the way I see it you earned whatever you get in the future. You teach people how to treat you and if you go back you are only teaching him that he can do it again and thats fine with you.
But how can you have two kids in 1 year and 4 months? Why would you have any kids with someone you've only known for a year? Regardless you do have them now and they have to be your first priority, if they grow up seeing these things they will grow up to do or accept these things, is that what you want for them? Being a parent means you don't have the luxury of putting up with crap because you want to, you also HAVE to consider what it will do to them, thats what being a parent is. In short, you did the right thing so don't go back and make a mistake now.

get the phone book, or call 411 and get a phone number for a battered womans support group. or call 911.
You have to protect yourself and the kids. Some women think they deserve to be hit or that hitting is what happens in a family.
In my whole life I have only heard of two women who have been hit. That means almost everyone I know has NEVER been hit.
Hitting isnt' justified. And it is common that guys who hit can be very charming and loving and sorry when they pull out of their anger. This keeps many women to stay. Don't hope that he will not hit again, even if he calmly promises to not hit.If you say with him and the kids, the chances of those kids growing up and being abusers. They cycle needs to STOP so it doesn't go on and on through out generations.

regardless of how much this person "love" you. the abuse will negate everything. you are doing the right thing to leave him. No one with any iota of self esteem would put up with an abuser. Understand that abuser are charmer. He can seduce and charm you into getting back with him...but it will not be enough to stop him from abusing you again and again!! Regardless of verbal or physical abuse, infront or behind the kids, abusers are losers of society. they do not deserve any love until they realize and rehabilitate their behaviors. Thats not your primary concern. you should avoid falling for guys like that in the future!!

If he hurts you he does not really love you and he also does not respect you. Even worse he is sending a really bad message to your kids. If you get back with him you are also sending a bad message to them by telling them that it is okay for this kind of thing to happen. Also how long do you think it will be before he hits them? Stay away and maybe get some counseling for your trama.....

Is this question for real?? If it is - call the police! In the US, it's against the law to lay hands on another person, period. Press charges and get out. Your kids will thank you.
Hopefully, you have some friends or family who can help you out.

Girl, DO NOT go back to his sorry a s s. It will only escalate into something worse. Think about your children. Always put them first. There are better men out there. You can make it without him. There's tons of help that you can get, too.

If you Love yourself and your children you will not subject them to Violence anymore! Once is enough do not take any more,it does not stop once it starts believe me I have been there! He needs help! You cannot get it for him. You need to be around people who care and will give you support and your children. Life is too short to take this kind of abuse or any for that matter.
