A child is innocent in this world. "We" dragged them into this place and they have to suffer at the hands of some hideous psycho. Does the law forget about the long tortures and slow deaths of these beautiful children. I think it does. Their should be NO second chances for child abusers. If caught and convicted they do life period! You gave up your rights when you touched a child, and its more then just touched. Lives are forever ruined and families devastated. I realize this happens with other crimes too , but these atrocitys are on another level. I have a young daughter and cant stand much more of this garbage. Im tired of them being labled sick, and unable to control themselves. THe great plan of society is to ( in many cases) give them a few years in jail and let them out. Oh well, if they do it again , another child killed or damaged. That in effect is what is being said. The only way to REALLY protect our children is to get serious. Rights? Bullshit.

They shouldn't. They need to die in the most inhumane way possible. Slowly and painfuly.

I provide treatment for some child molesters, and I have sent some packing back to jail when they fail treatment. However, they are human beings, and many of them show genuine remorse. I urge you to talk to them before you pass such judgments.

There are several levels of child abuse. Some abusers are under 12. Some are mere weeks past being molested themselves. In my state, if a 17 year old has sex with a 15 year old (even one day before her/his 16th birthday), the 17 year old is guilty of felony child abuse and must go to jail and register as a sex offender for the rest of his/her life. The same penalty for someone who is 40 who has sex with a 13 year old.

We really need to tighten our definition of child molestation and recognize that it is not a black-or-white issue. Romeo-and-Juliet laws would help, but so would responsible adults maintaining relationships with the molester so they can find a way to return to society after prison. These adults could help ensure the convicted molester has sufficient supports to stay away from children after treatment and prison.

I totally agree that child molesters deserve NO rights. They violated the right of the child, so I have no sympathy for them. I believe that they are unworthy of society.

South Carolina has the right idea, they give a convicted rapist or pedophiles the choice between life in prison without parole. or castration.
