... does DNA influences pretty much who we are and how we live - behave, act, etc. ? In other words, is a guy agressive because he choose to or because of his DNA? Or is a girl so girly because she choose to or because of her DNA?

I think that it's about 80% genes and 20% environment.
How you are brought up influences who you are and which of your genes get expressed. If genetically you don't have the potential for something, then the environment can't bring it out even if your life depends on it.

Otherwise, someone, like the people who jumped off the WTC to escape the flames, would have sprouted wings. To the best of my knowledge none did.

If your parents are rabbits, do you think the environment can change your teeth to cats teeth and have you eating meat if you run out of cabbage and carrots?

there are many influences that shape our lives, dna is one, then how we are raised, our teachers and friends. often we chose friends who are like us though and we just keep putting the same pressures on each other over years . then you can add in any traumas, war, starvation, losing parents, etc. all of these things, plus the times in wich we live and what we watch on tv and the games we play and the movies we see and books we read. all help to slowly shape us into the people we become. we always have the ability to change, if we really want to and give it a real effort. but often that takes great work, giving up your friends, games, drinking and so many bad influences to actually make the change. so there is never one pat answer to any of this. good luck

we chose who we want to be. genetics choses who we are going to be as a boy or girl. upbring determines how we will turn out, but we can chose the right or wrong path.

I'll go you one better... I think we choose our life, our parents, everything about us is already known to us - we just don't remember it after we're born.
