All my friends and my family are into scary, action filmed movies, but I'm not. What should I do when everyone wants to watch something scary, but I don't?

I say watch it with them. It can't be that bad. Just convince yourself it's just a movie, and the experience will be a lot of fun. I used to be extremely scared of horror movies, but then I started watching a few with my family and friends and it was really fun. You should get used to watching horror movies with friends. Just rent one, shut off the lights and get a big blanket with lots of candy and popcorn. And then everytime something scary or surprising happens, you're not the only one screaming. And eventually you'll be laughing your heads off like, "YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN YOUR FACE!" at the end. Really a bonding experience.
If you think you're going to stop breathing or have a seizure from watching a movie, you should probably just tell them how you feel everytime they invite you to see a horror movie.

Go do something by yourself! There's no law that says just because they're watching a movie means you have to participate too! Read a book, go on the computer, look at a magazine, go for a walk, etc. There's no harm in having some alone-time, in fact, it's good for you.

I refuse to watch scary movies, just try to convince them to watch action or watch the movie but do something else like read a mag or paint your nails:)

Just be honest with them. Tell them you are not scared but you are just don't like scary movies. If you dont want to tell them that then go to the movies with them and close your eyes or take regular and long trips to the restroom.

Let your friends know that you're not down with the scary stuff and find something else to watch or find something else to do.

Let majority rule. Then maybe the nexttime they will let you pick??Or Rock, paper, sizzors is coming back I hear!! Whoever wins gets to watch what they want to!! I love a good scarey movie though! Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Just leave the room; that's what one of our family members does. Watch what you like on another TV set in another room.

There are lots you can do, just excuse your-self from the room and tell them your going on the internet to Yahoo Questions & Answers.

tell them. or find a movie thats somewhere in the middle, try to compromise. or just dotn watch it with them.
