I cant speak for all state but in Indiana, it is actually a court action to force you out.
You do not have to leave on a verbal or even a written eviction notice unless it is from a court.
However if you make your landlord go through the court process you can also be forced to pay the court cost and attorney fees.
So it may be in your best interest to get out as soon as you can and even let your landlord have an idea when you will be vacating the premises to avoid him/her from filing the paperwork with the court.

Every jurisdiction is a bit different, but if you don't pay your rent, in most jurisdictions the landlord must give you a "pay or quit" which is your warning that eviction proceedings will start. They then have to actually go to court and file eviction papers on you. You will get a court date where you can try to convince the judge he's wrong (ain't likely to happen). The judge will then order the eviction and the sheriff will serve you and put your stuff on the curb if need be.
This usually takes several weeks and in some places a couple of months. You have to be served with the court papers, so it should not be any great surprise that you need to get out.
There is no 30 day rule for evictions. It happens at whatever time span it takes for the legal proceedings to occur.
Your landlord WILL get an award for any rent due, the balance of any lease or required notice AND his legal expenses. Your wages can be attached (in most states but not in TX or PA) so one day you may find your check is missing half because it is going to your former landlord.
Your roommate cannot lock you out or damage your things. If he tries the police can and will arrest him.
But quite frankly, you should be paying the rent and if you can't, get your behind out of their asap. Why should someone else get hung with your responsibilities?

its harder for a roomate to kick you out. Im always the one kicking room mates out (for stinking,, not paying rent, bringing in dogs, moving a 2nd person in their room) Ive ad many ad roomates. In fact, on the first of July I kicked 2 out and now have my own place. They gotta keep your shi.t for 3 months, also verbal talk holds. If you havent gotten an official eviction notice, you can count yourself not even evicted. Aparently if I invite a friend to stay at my house and after a week I want them to leave, they have rights to stay in my house until a proper eviction is conducted. (or so the judge told me a few months ago). anyways 30 day rule, give a months notice before you leave unless its the end of a lease, in that case you need to give 3 month notice. YTou have a lot of eviction questions, you should really call the rental board cuz laws change for each state and province.

It depends. Usually when you get evicted you go to court and the Judge gives you a day you have to be out. Now if the Realtors Office gave you a 30-Day to move out then there will be a certain date on there that you need to be out. Even if you have not paid rent you have that thirty days, BUT Remeber when you paid a Security Deposit!?!?! Thats when that comes in and EVERYTHING you owe will be taken out of thet usually leaving you nothing. Now, if your roomate is kicking you out then everything depends on whether or not you signed your contract or not. You made your question too broad for me to be specific. Next time try narrowing it down to one question and not three and it will be much easier.

you can usually miss two months rent (if you have a cool landlord). but if not he will evict you and you will have 30 days to pack all your stuff up and leave. The last 30 days is covered under what you payed for (ie. first and last moths rent to move in)

Depends what state you reside in. Here in NYS, landlord must serve notice on or before the 1st. If he serves on the 2nd or after, you have 30 from the first of the following month. Check your local laws to protect your rights.

it works like this, land lord has to go to court house to take out eviction papers then the papers are served and then you have two weeks to get out and then have to find you to serve them on you.
