Couldn't have been more perfect. He's been annoying for years. The hateful, prejudiced bigot is showing his true colors if you ask me.

Not only did Mel reveal his true colours with the anti-Jewish statements, but he is also homophobic, and an alcoholic, now in rehab.
It's about time that he was served some humble pie.

It's not funny. It is tragic in many ways, but needed to wake him up. Sometimes we must hit rock bottom before we recognize our need for help. I wish him a steady and complete recovery. I can have a glass of wine at dinner and not have another glass of wine for 10 or 15 years if it suits me. Mel Gibson on the other hand can go through recovery, and come out a better man, but he will always be one drink away from calamity, every day of his life. I am rooting for him.

Not funny--IRONIC would be the fitting word.
Because he was working on a film about the Holocaust. Don't know how sympathetic or engaged in his subject the prick could be when the world knows his true feelings after his goofy diatribe.

no, but i also think he's showing his true colors. i mean i sometimes think that when people are mad, like in an arguement, the crazy things they say (like gibson's comments) are what they're TRULY thinking. they may not be true, but they blurt out their doubts/concerns in the heat of the moment.
