When you opened that e-mail it ran a piece of script letting the scammers know that your account is live and active; your e-mail address is by now sold and on the lists of scammers all over the world. If you reply you'll get labelled an 'easy mark'. Thats why the advice you'll always be given is never open an e-mail that's from someone you don't know.
Do you do the lottery online? If not, how can you have won?

Anything on the internet that sounds too good to be true is false and could possibly be a hacker. DO NOT ANSWER THAT EMAIL. Delete it right away. Did you apply to UK Lottery? If not then that should tell you right there.

You cannot win a lottery that you do not enter. SCAM!

Delete any emails from such people and do not open them. They may have a return receipt that shows whether or not you opened the email. So the best bet is to delete them without opening.

It's a scam; delete the email and block the sender. Now.

AS you never entered what they purport you have won, logic tells you this is a fraud beyond doubt. They only want to coerce you into parting with bank information to rip you off .... someone, somewhere will fall for it ..... don't join them ! Delete and remain safe!

An obvious scam. Hope you've already ditched the e-mail as advised.
