Pink Floyd wrote a song called "Vera" for their 1979 album The Wall; in the film based on the album, a Christmas song by Vera Lynn is played over the opening credits.
Pink Floyd also recorded a live version of The Wall called Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live 1980-81, where before the concert starts, Vera Lynn's 'We'll Meet Again' can be heard in the background just before the Master of Ceremonies gives his introduction.

I thought she was dead, I know that she was a big vocalist during World War 2. Known for a A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and We'll Meet Again. I have a recording of her on the Naxos label. Good period music. According to Wikipedia and imdb she is still alive and last was recorded on film in 2005. Don't know this Dame personally. Became Dame in 1975.
