Isn't the truth always better?

Sometimes, the truth hurts and some people are over sensitive and can not handle the truth. Sometimes, people who lie are afraid of the truth and can not or do not want to deal with what could happen if they told the truth.
I believe that honesty is the best policy. It is always best to tell the truth.

I lie for different reasons ... sometimes i want to please someone or maybe protect them a little, sometimes i feel the truth is not someone's business, sometimes i'm afraid of how a person will react and/or i don't want to deal with their reaction (especially one that might be critical of me lol). i prefer not to lie and it is not often that i do. i like to be honest and definitely try to always tell the truth but i do weigh things out at times and occasionally opt for a lie. i never "make things up" or spin elaborate tales lol (about myself or others or situations), though, and have no compulsion to lie excessively or even a lot. it is a good question!

yes the truth is always better, but a lot of people are afraid of the truth, maybe because sometimes the truth does hurt. Or maybe people who lie are ashamed of themselves.

I ask that question everyday. i have a child that feels a lie is better for some reason. Drives me nuts because we are an honest family. Her counselor thinks she is a perfectionist who lies because she feels she will look less than perfect otherwise. A sorry excuse if you ask me. Read my question that I asked on the same matter and read the best answer from a pathological liar. interesting.

because some times the truth hurts and one person may think that is they tell the truth than the other person may get hurt or won't like them anymore. but thats just in some cases

because they are the victims of peer pressure..they think they have to lie to fit in.,,and so forth..truth is the best policy

a lot of da time they just want 2 fit in or they dont want 2 b responsible 4 their actions.
