I have lived in the Philippines for the past 4 years. I retired from the U.S. Navy in 2001 at the age of 40. Unfortunately my retirement pay did not allow for a decent standard of living.
I moved here with my Philippine wife to her hometown in 2002 and have been here ever since. Life is much better here in paradise living on a tropical island comfortably well off than living as a pauper in the suburbs of New Jersey USA.

okay from the Circle K make a left... follow that road through the flooded out wash, past the crazy guy with the shopping cart and imaginary bird. Make a left after the second speed bump. Keep going down that road past the guy with three trucks in his yard on blocks. Make another left at the beauty parlor/bail bonds store... third house on the right
