If my commute was really that bad...yes.
If the fuel savings made up for the difference in pay...yes.
If their were special circumstances such as children or proximity to needy relatives...yes.

thanks for the points but money ain't the problem why do you want to be closer to home what you missing my boss had me chasing money like there was no end to it then he fell over dead i Haven worked since i look back on what i missed you can take a job and shove it

depends... will your decreased fuel costs be equal to the reduced wage... will you be able to spend more time at home w/ family etc... lots of things to take into acount beforemaking that decision.... I was once paid more to work closer to home....talk about a win win :)
