Give an example where you are able to persuade others to do something, etc. Write about anything u can think of which is related. I need some idea on how to answer such question during job interview. I might pick out something useful from your answers.

The best way to persuade another person to do what you want is to remember WIFM. What's in it for me? From THEIR perspective. You need to highlight just how doing what you want (such as hiring you for this job, for example) is going to benefit them. You want to emphasize how hiring you is going to benefit them. Highlight your skills and experience or features and benefits. Let them know how hiring you is going to make their lives easier!

Never plead, never appear desperate. It just looks pathetic. You must be confident!

Good luck in your interview!

Leading by example is a good way to go.

It depends a lot about the job you are interviewing for. Are you going to be working with adults or other kids (18-25 yr. old or so)?

Grown-ups know what a job is and what needs to be done. They do not need to be led to do something. Treat them with respect, make clear the parameters of the job, and let them run through their paces. Adults need jobs to take care of themselves and their families.

Kids, on the other hand, may want to have a certain time or day off to go to a concert or something. They all want to be off at the same time (which, coincidentally, is usually when you need them there the most). Here is the problem. They don't need a job as badly as a grown up and they have much less to lose by just quitting. Don't feel bad about high turnover. When you deal with young adults, you are going to have an increased turnover.

I work in retail so I use persuasion every day. (and it isn't because I'm a sleazy salesperson...I'm salary!) Persuasion is all about listing the good and bad about two options and leading the other person to the better choice. For me this usually comes in the form of a baby gift (children's clothing store!) where I explain to people that they really should get a 6 month outfit instead of 3 month even though the 3 month outfit is cuter and smaller the baby usually grows out of it within weeks.
Good luck!

oh to easy just look around
Grocery stores, the most marked up products are eye level.
candy in kids reach.
Malls, colorfull clothes in the display window to get you to come in.
knowing how is the harder part. want to sell a cold pop. having a bright cooler overfilled with ice on a hot day would work better than an old beat up machine
just a nice smile and someone will open a door for you. a sad face and you will be opening your own door

The only way to persuade someone is to show them how they can profit or get something in return for what your asking, and sometimes you have to offer more than you get.
If the thought is in their mind, you can bring it to the surface, but you can't plant it there.
Everyone wants to "get over" and get something for nothing, or real cheap, as in "a steal".
Appeal to their emotions re: greed, sympathy, sloth, narcisissm, etc.
