A good gift would be a gift certificate to their favorite store. I'm sure he/she will love it. I know I would!

My best friend moved to Florida a year ago tomorrow. I live in California...so cross country is the best way to describe that. We had been best friends for five years the day she moved and we are still really close now. I had no idea what to give her. We had spent years together, had experienced love and heartbreak, fights and tough times...boyfriends, other friends, the death of loved ones. She might as well have been my sister because we knew so much about each other's life. I had no idea how to tell her how much I was going to miss her, or anything like that. I ended up giving her a calling card for 500 minutes that she used to call me the first month or so she was there. I gave her two mix CD's of our favorite songs - the songs we listened to when we were sad that picked us up right away. There really is no material thing that you can give a best friend that's moving away.... I put a little "care basket" together. It had a map of Florida, a map of the United States so that in case she ever wanted to come home, she could. I gave her an address book that I had filled out with all of our friends names, numbers and details so that she would never forget any of us. My friends and I made a scrapbook that dated back to the seventh grade - It was full of memories and good times. I think what my Best Friend appreciated the most was knowing that even though she was moving that I would still be there for her if she ever needed me. She called me when her boyfriend broke up with her, when her Grandma died. She called me on her little sister's birthday, on her first day of school, when she almost got hit by a car, when her mom and her had a HUGE fight and she wanted to run away. She called me on my Birthday...And six days later I called her on her Birthday. Well...I guess I'm rambling. I still miss her. I think you only get one best friend like that in a lifetime.

How about a journal of everything you have done together. Also give him/her a phone card that way they can call you when ever they are missing you. Also make sure they understand that even though they are moving, you will still want to keep in contact. Same happened to me when my best friend moved to Phoenix 6 months before my wedding. I was worried she wouldn't come back but she did. It goes to show that a true friend will always be there when ever possible. Never forget the wonderful times you had together.

properly, this surely relies upon on some information. How lengthy have you ever hardship-free him, have you ever met in my opinion, age distinction, college possibilities, your destiny, his destiny. you're patently lower than questioning the cituation the following. you're pondering uprooting the total existence for a dude who you "Love" and also you're 19. My suggestion is sparkling as could properly be, no. do no longer do it. What in case you split? What if he dies? What if he doesnt love you decrease back? in case you breakup, you're stuck there. You moved there and then you get screwed. you're 19 and also you've were given alot better existence ahead of you. finding out to bypass could be a really undesirable idea. Do what your moms and dads say, because opposite to correctly-known perception, they comprehend alot better than you. ~ Brian

The best gift is to not be a whiney chick. My best friend left me to get married and moved nine hours away. Be supportive! It's all gonna be new and scarey for your friend too. Buy them a phone card and be there to listen to whatever they have to tell you about the new place. Then... go visit!

Pens, papers, and envelopes. Snail mail is a fun way to keep in touch, in addition to email and phone calls! You could also make a scrapbook of the two of you.

For all occasions when you want to give something to remember someone by ( memorials or missing someone) I give a bonsai tree. They are hard to kill, but represent life and everytime they look at it they will think of you..
