how can i be straight?

If you explain what you want to a female friend, chances are she will help you, either personally or in finding a friend of hers who can help you. Many girls get a major ego trip off "turning" a guy from gay to straight. I've tried . . . long, long ago . . . mostly they just said, "Well, thanks for the attempt, but . . . " and wandered off to the baths.

I think that you're BORN gay or straight or bi. If you don't want to do homosexual things, then you don't have to be sexual. I mean, lots of folks are celibate, right? Just because you're gay, that doesn't mean that you have to act on it if you don't want to.
Now, as to becoming straight: I don't think that you can. Not really, not change who you are inside, know what I mean? You can ACT straight. You can get married, and have sex with the opposite sex, and have kids, but your basic desires will always be what they are.
I have a question for YOU: Do you want to not be gay because YOU don't like being gay, or is it a reaction to the world around you--the one where so many people say that being gay is wrong and sinful and hateful and full of death?

Hey, don't worry about it! Wether ur gay or not ur still a great person and u can do anything with ur life u want. Plus all the gay guys I know are less jerks than the straight guys (no offense straight guys!).

If you are gay, I would usually advise being happy with what you are. But since your asking this question, its apparent that you aren't happy being gay and you want to mold yourself into a 'better' you. I would start out by changing the 'gay' mentality. Everytime you see a guy, try not to think "Oh, he's cute", but instead think of him as a friend (I know its hard). Secondly; everytime you see a girl, look at her and think "Oh she's sexy (or whatever). You should get a girlfriend,and eventually you'll fall for her!!!

You can change your behavior, and you might even be able to force yourself into a "straight lifestyle" marrying the opposite sex etc. But your attractions are always going to be how they are. Most of the groups that claim to change people will admit that, when it comes down to it. The overwhelming consensus in the field of psychology is that you'll be better off and far happier if you can learn to accept your attractions and start to live an integrated life.

Seek professional help. For you to ask this question means you want to live as the man that you really are. So go the professional route because that is your best bet. If you get a ***** checking out dudes, then you're gay and there isn't anything you can do about it.

you shouldnt even TRY being something you arent. if you are saying "im gay" that shows that you do not want a member of the opposite sex for a significant other or whatever. just be yourself is all that you can do-- audioslave. lol but its true.

You cant mate..............accept it as who you are. Be proud!!! Theres nowt wrong wif it!!! The majority of people will try and respect u for it.......except the nutjobs who are anti-gay....but dont let them get u down - u are who u are and dont change it for anything.
