She was SUPPOSED to be watching the 16 month old granddaughter. She left a backdoor open, pool in the backyard(with the laddergoing up and over the pool). Needless to say we buried that sweet little girl last Wednesday.

are you serious? you cant be serious.....and i agree with the person who said you shouldnt be thinking about your wallet at this time, i bet your wife is devasted, arent you?

There's a high probability you will. The choices for men after a divorce are as follows:
1. Pay
2. Go to Jail

Doesn't leave room for much else.

Clearly "dappersmom" has never had to pay.

I think you need to call the lawyer that handled your divorce to be on the safe side. You will at least get the correct answer and I am sorry about your grandaughter. Also, your ex has to be in pure hell.

Well that's put a damper on things hasn't it....I'd have to say "no" on this one. If she's in jail, you shouldn't be paying living expenses for her. Nobody should have to pay alimony anyway. It's nonsense.

I would wait to see if she is going to jail, then take her back to court to get a judge to order any modifications. If you don't and she gets out of jail she can sue you for back alimony.

absolutley not. and i know its not that your thinking about money at a time like this, but its more or less your trying to get your mind onto other things so that your not having to think about it all the time.
