Without a doubt. Haven't you ever heard of Project Echelon? The simplified version was described in a PBS or Discovery Channel documentary in the early 1990's. Since then, the process of information and data filtering, over the Internet and on personal phones and cell phones has been highly refined. This is especially true with the new government supercomputers currently being developed.

The Total Information Awareness required by the Patriot Act of 2002 insures that all electronic communications are filtered by high-speed advanced government computers.

I often wonder about this, but I think its pretty clear that the government doesnt give a crap what any of us common people think. Im pretty sure we are under the radar.
