Does he have so much intelligence that he could never use all of it, or is he too foolish to realize that he has any to begin with?

What it probably means is that he spent all these years going to school, but in actuality has never had a need to use any of the stuff that he studied. In others words, people go to school to learn things for their job, but never have a need for those skills on the job they actually end up getting hired for. As someone once asked, "Why do I have to study all these school lessons if I'm never going to actually use it on a job?" The answer is, "because that way your boss will know you will do any crappy job that he throws your way!" Taking all this into consideration do you think that the person would be considered smart or foolish. In my opinion, probably a little of both. ;-) The person is smart or wise enough to study knowing it will probably get him a good paying job, but foolish enough to do any job that is thrown his way by the boss. ;-) In my opinion, no amount of big money is worth that. I would rather just make do with what I have and stay in a so so paying job that I really like; rather than take on the foolish stress that so many are just to make a few extra bucks!

He's foolish... For a person to deprive him or herself a better life by refusing to use the best asset he/ she has is just plain dumb. I have know plenty of people who, despite thier intelligence, are really quite dumb.
