I know what you mean, really. I don't like to eat a lot, just a few bites. Down south (GA), my grandma and my aunts did it and then I would when I went to visit. I guess it's just an acquired taste. I wonder sometimes if it's the texture that I like, too.
P.S. It's not like the starch you put on shirts. It's edible and used in cooking.

NO! My sister makes the best pies ever but the cornstarch just gases me up. I never use it in my cooking.

I have never tried eating plain cornstarch.
It's good in pudding and sauces, though.

Alot of people eat starch. They usually eat starch like you find in shirts. It is usually found in the south and done by black americans. You probably like to eat clay as well. Try it.
