So if we screw up, if we committ suicide, if we must atone for some bad deeds, we have to do the whole trip over again...and heaven will have to wait until we measure up.

Hmmm...that would be the ultimate punishment for those that feel their lives are hell already. Fortunately for me, I don't share that same viewpoint. Bad things happen and I get into bad situations at times, but then I can get out of them and move on. Life isn't hell. Life is what you make it

My best friend of 27 years who died in 2001 believed that this was exactly what happened to those who didn't learn the lessons God wanted us to learn while we're here. The way she explained it, it made sense to me. I have an open mind about it.

Yes, I have heard that. We are all supposed to achieve this higher plane and we must continue to come back until we get it right.
When I come back I want to be a cowboy, how about you?

That could be very true. I believe we make our own hell in life by our choices.

Thanks.
You're the only one who hasn't jumped on my case.
It's not my fault that people don't read the details of the question.

What you are actually talking about is reincarnation. I don't think we come back to fix our mistakes until we get it right.

No for if that was so what need would G*d have of us?
This is your chance and only chance to get it right to be a first Born. A Child of God. A member of the God family. All the tools have been given to you so that you may make the right decisions. The Bible, History, Judah, Israel, Jesus, God the Father, Angels, Prayer, the Holy Spirit. All are called to God but not all will heed the call. After the safety of the first-born of God's Church ( Body of members ) there will be a time such as the world has never seen. So horrorable towards humankind that they all will wish they were never born at all.For this is the Trials and Tribulations of the world. If you miss the boat this time and have to go through the Trials and Tribulations of the world, then you will have a 2nd time but for only a short season. This will be the 2nd born of his family. About 800 billion form Adam to the last man born who never knew the Christ or did not want to when they were alive the first time. The devil will be released again and you will have to make you your mind then for sure. O there is a Hell and the devil lives there. He would love to have you there forever as his company.
(Rev 20:3) And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
(Rev 6:11) And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they [were], should be fulfilled.

For this is the Trials and Tribulations of the world and theses are those whom were put to the test because they did not accept him the first time.

(Mat 5:29) And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.
(Mat 5:30) And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.
(Mat 18:9) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
(Mar 9:45) And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
(Mar 9:47) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
(Luk 12:5) But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
(Eze 31:16) I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
(2Pe 2:4) For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
(Rev 20:14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Oh yes, there is a Hell and it will Not be Sweet by any means. So you are being given a chance to accept him now ( Jesus) or later or not at all and be delivered to hell.
Its up to you but Jesus is the light and the way to everlasting life. He is King of Kings and Lord of all Lords and the son of the living God. Amen. And he is comming back. You can count on it. Just watch the news and read your bible. Its all in the news.
(1Pe 5:8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
(1Cr 1:17) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
(Jhn 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
