Why is everyone so obsessed with what an actor/actress says? They are only people too. It isn't like they're supposed to be world leaders or anything. If you liked Mel Gibson before what he said, why would you quit liking him now?

He should have stuck to movies like Thunder-dome and not got so fervent with his 'causes'. I didn't like him before so now, I still don't like him but it has stayed a constant disinterested feeling.

A time was there once in some countries e.g. India when even to look at the face of an actor off stage was considered taboo. While their performances were lauded they had no social status. The clock has come full circle. Now people seem to be so much interested in his off stage life what he wears, what he eats, what he used, what are his love and other interests as if these were very important things. If these have a bearing on his acting it could be understood but it is not so. Some years ago ,I think it was Richard Burton, the boy-friend of Elizabeth Taylor was pursued so much that he had no private lift left. He had gone to some seaside with Miss Taylor. The photographers were after him/her there and put out their photograophs in various compromising positions when the couple believed that they were alone. The cinema people also seem to indirectly encourage in the hope that it would bolster up their business. But the actors/acrresses are human being heir to all the weakness flesh is heir to.They do not claim any special status as social leaders or so.(Though some years ago aan Indian actor Chandramohan in an interviewed was asked some questions about international politics as if they counted for something). While people could be excused for their inclination to know more about their favourites it leaves no private life to the poor actors/actress.The anti semitic outbursts of Mel Gibson and his recent brush with the police have received such a prominence as it these were world-shattering events. His turnout was bad but he has and would suffer its consequences and no need to deprecate him or take his side for these incidents.Even if we may not revert to the mediaval position of treating as persona non grata let us leave them alone to live their own lives or roast themselves in the hell of their own creation.Let us applaud /denounce them on the screen only.

See, as usual, people are not getting the entire story. The man made a movie about Christ and was withstood by the Jewish powers dominating Hollywood. The man lived under extreme stress because he made a movie about Christ. Why? Cause Jews hate Christianity. See, the bigotry started there, with Jewish hatred. Who are they to try and stop or pressure Mel for making a movie about Christ? They did just that. It was they who started the stress on his life. That stress was building up and hurting his career in a city dominated by Jews. When he got drunk, all of that stress just poured on out.

How does Hollywood become dominated by Jews? Who gets a movie? Who gets a promo? Who gets advanced? Why so many Jewish actors getting jobs? Are Jews promoting Jews, to the hurt of other non-Jews? Why am I anti-Semitic for pointing out bigotry?

Mel was not an anti-Semite. If he is now, surely, it's the Jews doing. How is a man supposed to respond to pressure like that? Except to hate them. (and still Mel doesn't hate them) And again, why do Jewish people have such a dominating stronghold over all the media and so many other areas of our lives?

I really don't care. I don't know what he said, just heard he got a DUI, but that's his problem and I'm not gonna waste those precious moments of my life thinking about Mel Gibson drunk.

i grew to become right into slightly shocked to learn what he suggested and you're making a stable element. Allot of them think of they are the appropriate and do this by using belittling different race communities, its lots worse in South Africa. Then there are those white adult males that are quite extreme-high quality people who do not stereotype, some marry into different race communities to boot. So its debatable in a manner yet you're top, it quite is the final image I additionally get of white adult males
