Twenty-five years, and I still have not made it past the first three pages....

I've started twice...and finished never. It's not that it's boring necessarily...but you can read a week or two weeks and still not be past the halfway point...and in the mean while you forget what was going on--it is a somewhat complex plot with different characters to keep track of--it's just so tempting to put it down for a bit to pick up something more exciting...and almost impossible to go back to without starting back on page 1.

I have resigned myself to the fact that I am never going to finish it. This is the conclusion I came to after reading the first page and getting no further on the few attempts I have made.

so far thirty six years For I started reading my brothers copy in 1970 and still haven't finished I keep starting over when I visit Him.

I'm a lit. buff, so i MADE myself finish...eventually. I read it in...3 and a half years...ish.
