I love the ideals upon which it was founded, yes. Just because we let one administration hijack the country by causing 9/11 doesn't mean America is inherently evil.

Of course, absolutely. My grandparents settled here just 3 generations ago, and found the freedom to live a new life. However, things in this nation have gone horribly wrong. we have become lazy and complacent. We have ignored that actions of our leaders and let them run like stray and uncontrolled dogs across the globe, seling weapons and making corrupt deals which do not show any interest in belonging to a global community. This nation of free people has sold its consent for cheap sweat shop made goods in wallmarts and the easy life in suburbia. Underneath all the crap, though is america the way it should be. A global participant in stewardship of the land, respectful of other cultures and the land of the free and brave. Its going to be a long haul to get our nation back in shape. its isnt going to be easy, but the ones with love as well as wide open eyes will save it.

It seems to me that isaac is the one that needs to put down the coffee cup - caffeine overdose. No one doubts George Bush's having effectively indoctrinated an ample following with his very arrogant and one-sided perspective of foreign affairs. His terrorist are their freedom fighters; conversely, our brave soldiers are now seen as their what - terrorist. My father was a soldier and I resent our military men and women for one second being considered terrorist by any foreign nation or group of people because of the misguided rantings of this president and his administration. However, do we, do I, still love this country. You darn well bet I do because I can remember with fondness when it was better - when it was a kinder, gentler nation that focused on being a positive influence to the world. AND I have faith that image can be restored - I'm just finding it increasingly difficult to remain patient waiting for the means required to make it happen. I pray that in November this nation will remove from Congress the Republican majority virtually making Bush a lame duck until his term ends and the real work of restoring this nation to its former greatness can begin.

In 1989 I signed a paper that basically stated that I agreed to defend this country and its Constitution with my life. Then I held up my right hand and swore to God that I meant what I said and then donned the uniform of the United States Air Force. Do I love this country Yes 1000% I even love it when I don't agree with what the leaders are doing. Hey Peaches if you are denying your American citizenship why don't you just GET THE HELL OUT!!!!! You spoiled little female dog.

I love America,, but I think our government is going down the road to Damascus, luckily for the people of the USA,, because our nation has been hijacked by the fiscal conservatives and the Bush team,,, we need a dramatic change in policy,,, or doctrine,,

I was pretty disappointed in America during the Clinton years. We've had two presidents who never really cared about America: Clinton & Carter. Clinton never cared about anything or anyone except himself. But Carter hates America. Hates....
Because of Bush, I'm am now proud of America. And because of our military, I love America. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Kind of funny how shallow, God hating, baby killing damnocrats blame President Bush for their hatred towards our great Nation. Wow that is the same attitude terrorist have. As for me America is the greatest nation in the world. I served in the military, and if called I will serve again. Don't see any damnocrats making that offer!

I believe in the ideals of America's founders, and I hope and pray every day that people will come to their senses and return to those principles before fascism takes hold irreversibly. Our government has lost sight of what made this country great, and it's up to all of us to get it back on the right track before it's too late.

Am I the only one that remembers 9/11?
Am I the only one that remembers that Bush said we are going over there to weaken terrorism in the Middle East so as to immobilize it where it originates to weaken the chance of them being able to strike the U.S like they did on 9/11?
Am I the only one that realizes that we haven’t been attacked since 9/11?
Am I the only one that sees the terrorists in action every day in Iraq????
Helloooooo!!!!!!! You think that may be why we are there?????????
Am I the only one that sees that terrorism most definantly originates in the Middle East?
Am I the only one that sees that terrorists are all over the Middle East not just Afghanistan???
SO THEN I ASK YOU FINALLY, AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT SEES THE CORRELATION BETWEEN STABILIZING THE MIDDLE EAST SO AS TO NIP IT IN THE BUD BEFORE IT REACHES ALL TIME HIGHS HERE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA? THERES THE TRUTH, FOR ALL OF YOU PARANOID, PESSIMISTIC, AND SPECULATIVE DOLTS.
Every time Al-Qaeda claims an attack in Iraq they validate what Bush said "We have to crush the terrorists where they originate, so as to make American citizens safer."
And its not we shouldn’t be messing with them, its they shouldn’t have messed with us!!!!!!!!!!!!
And remember, it’s our soldiers putting they’re lives on the line everyday that you even have the right to ***** and whine about the war. Why don’t you put down your snot laden hankies and grab your nuts, and thank god for another day that this war has brought you a step closer to long term safety and stability. Ensuring that you can go to Starbucks during your brunch everyday and ***** about it for years and years to come without being interrupted by suicide bombers that claim to be peaceful right before they cut your head off and blow your Starbucks coffee table into little smoldering pieces

Yes I love this country. Spent two years defending it! As Nathan says, Nettie and Peaches ought to be packing their bags and getting out really fast if it's so intollerable.
