Yay. But only if he actually gets help. I think some time in the gray-bar hotel rather than a fine is the best deterrent. I would think that a man like Mel could afford to pay some big bucks to buy his way out of this mess, but some slammer time would do the most good, followed by some time in counseling and then some time talking to some teens telling them how he behaved and that the same thing will happen to them if they do the dumb drinking driving thing. I feel that taking his license for a couple of months or a year would also be appropriate. No way should he be able to pay a fine & go back to his previpous ways. n' you can quote me!

Yay, only because we all make mistakes and we have all said things we regret (and like it or not we have all had thoughts that we know better than to speak out loud). I think he will recover, he's Mel Gibson for crying out loud!

I like Mel Gibson as an actor. None of my business really what his personal life is like. He makes good films. I'm probably never going to meet the man so how in the world would I know if I would like him personally or not. Besides as long as I go to his films, he probably doesn't care what I think anyway.

I still like Mel Gibson. He has a drinking problem. He hopefully knows it now and will get the help he needs.

I say YAY. We're all only human & entitled to make mistakes. The most important thing is that we rectify what can be rectified & learn from them for the future.
