I think it is a mistake to make that an either-or question. I think we could not have evolved from nothing. You have to start evolution from something, and evolution is far from "blind." It is highly directed and purposeful. Something had to cause life to come into existence in the first place. That seems like some kind of creation to me. But after that, there is a lot of evidence that suggests evolution of living organisms over millenia got us where we are today. It is an error to believe that life is not still evolving today. There is evidence that changes have taken place within periods as short as decades. But who is to say that this is not an intelligent plan? And who is to say it is? Humans have lived by faith about unproveable things since their beginnings. In many instances, it is the only thing that carried them through immense difficulties and discouragements. We might not be here except for it. It may be right and it may be wrong, but none of us living today is going to know. Should we go by what has worked for so long or adopt a different approach? We pride ourselves on our great modern knowledge and our escape from superstition, but we are not that advanced yet. When we can cure and prevent cancer, then maybe it would be time to consider ourselves enlightened enough to tackle such questions. This is an argument that I think is destined to go on for many centuries to come. I think it is good to argue it, because it drives us to learn as much as we can about ourselves and our universe. Let's just not let it make us hate each other, because that never leads to any kind of advancement.

Deffinately created!

"Evolution" is not a process which begins then ends, OR selects only specific beings. If true it must apply to all, all at the same time.... In order for that it take place or even be possible it must be a constant!

In the case of human beings, it would not have progressed to a certain point then stop. Yes humans are evolving via intelligence but that's not truely "evolving", that's called LEARNING. Evolving dictates physical constant change as well. Meaning that there would NOW still be lifeforms which were STILL going through that same process! (i.e. Neanderthal, Cromagnon, monkey or ape like 1/2 and 1/2 things still here on this planet with us).

But the real questions are:

1. By what source were we created? Many suffice to say "God", which is fine but still yet lies countless questions and answers regarding that entity!

2. From whence did that source come? Its obvious that we (human beings) were planted, brought or put here. What are our true origins? If "God" created all.... it would be very easy to create countless other worlds elswhere as well as other beings... perhaps like us.

3. Why? The reasons and possiblities are vast and endless, beyond human comprehension.

Creation is much more logical and scientific. All those theories like Darwin's theory of Evolution is up until now is still a "theory". So base it on facts. Do you think that a mighty accident did all these. Do you think that the whole solar system just happened without somebody knwoledgeable designing it. Did we come from monkeys, just because we act like them? If so, why do some humans look much more like a horse rather than a monkey?

Of course we evolved. There is mountains of evidence. If only people like you would study it. Too much work I guess, eh?

Evolution explains things like the fact that our hairs stand up on end when we are terrified, a hold-over from our earlier forms when we had enough body hair to fool an enemy with regard to our size.

first of all, to emucompboy, your statement makes no intelligent sense. We are in a state of constant degeneration. Our bodies are loaded with toxins that we created, we are living off of McDonalds, processed foods and way too much sugar - foods that were never intended for our bodies- don't blame the creator for US not taking better care of His creation. Our bodies are getting sicker and sicker and weaker and weaker because we abuse them, not because they were not created well- I suggest you get educated about the incredible healing abilities our bodies have and what incredible things we are capable of when we do take proper care of them- our bodies do not function the way God created them to function because we have abused them and our planet so badly.

I cannot make you believe something that you don't want to believe, but I urge you to use discernment, reason and logic when thinking aobut evolution- all the things evolutionists accuse us of not using , but really- do the principles of evolution make sense? If this has taken place over the course of millions of years, little by little, then we are being decieved when we are told we are looking for "the missing link" we are looking for millions of missing links- besides that- there are so many common sense, scientific questions that evolution just cannot answer- no matter how you twist it.
If you are really interested in education and not just disproving something that does not fit your mold- read this article, it is fun reading but very informative and common sense-

here are other bits of interesting fact for you to ponder :

Charles Dawson, a British lawyer and amateur geologist announced in 1912 his discovery of pieces of a human skull and an apelike jaw in a gravel pit near the town of Piltdown, England . . . Dawson's announcement stopped the scorn cold. Experts instantly declared Piltdown Man (estimated to be 300,000 to one million years old), the evolutionary find of the century. Darwin's missing link had been identified. Or so it seemed for the next 40 or so years. Then, in the early fifties . . . scientists began to suspect misattribution. In 1953, that suspicion gave way to a full-blown scandal: Piltdown Man was a hoax . . . tests proved that its skull belonged to a 600-year-old woman, and its jaw to a 500-year-old orangutan from the East Indies." Our Times--the Illustrated History of the 20th Century (Turner Publishing, 1995, page 94).

Science Fiction
The Piltdown Man fraud wasn't an isolated incident. The famed "Nebraska Man" was built from one tooth, which was later found to be the tooth of an extinct pig. "Java Man" was found in the early 20th Century, and was nothing more than a piece of skull, a fragment of a thigh bone and three molar teeth. The rest came from the deeply fertile imaginations of plaster of Paris workers. "Heidelberg Man" came from a jawbone, a large chin section and a few teeth. Most scientists reject the jawbone because it's similar to that of modem man. Still, many evolutionists believe that he's 250,000 years old. No doubt they pinpointed his birthday with good old carbon dating. Now there's reliable proof. Not according to Time magazine (June 11, 1990). They published an article in the science section that was subtitled, "Geologists show that carbon dating can be way off." Don't look to "Neanderthal Man" for any evidence of evolution. Recent genetic DNA research indicates the chromosomes do not match those of humans. They do match those of bipedal primates (apes).

What does Science Say?
Here are some wise words from a few respected men of science: "Evolution is a fairy tale for grown-ups. This theory has helped nothing in the progress of science. It is useless." (Professor Louis Bounoure, Director of Research, National Center of Scientific Research). "Evolution is unproved and unprovable." (Sir Arthur Keith--he wrote the foreword to the 100th edition of, Origin of the Species). "Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great con-men, and the story they are telling may be the greatest hoax ever." (Dr. T. N. Tahmisian, Atomic Energy Commission, USA).

"To suppose that the eye . . . could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree." Charles Darwin, The Origin of Species

A great resource for some education that is logical and common sense is called "The Science or Evolution: expand your mind" You can get this DVD from WayoftheMaster.com

The fact is there is nothing here that was not created, planned with a purpose in mind. Is there anything on this earth- not natural that just came together on its own. You can put pieces of 'stuff' in a box and put whatever conditions you choose and without a purpose and planning for that purpose, you won't get anything useful. I have yet to see anyone show matter being created out of nothing, or one species evolving into another or any proof of that happening. this world works in a clockwork type order , there is precision and purpose to everything you see - you cannot have purpose without a plan and you cannot have a plan without a planner- there is nothing that can disprove intelligent design. Period!

Evolved.
Our retinas are backwards, there's the appendix which is prone to inflammation, we have to wear glasses because we don't have muscles to focus our eyes, and we don't develop immunity to the COMMON cold or herpes.

No intelligent design = no intelligent designer(s).
