Add borax and water to white glue and it will create a polymer that forms extremely strong covalent bonds with what you're sticking it to. Salt won't melt because it's two components are put together with a covalent bond. Borax is basically powdered bug repellant that you can buy in hardware stores etc.

2 ton epoxy melts at around 900 degrees.
