Why are SO many young people today SO angry?

You see it in the news, on here with the way people respond to questions, in schools... our society is so angry... so much hatred and violence.

It seems people so quickly jump to conclusions without having all the facts, or ASSUME things that are incorrect, and then go off on underserving people they don't even know.

You don't understand, there is soo much pressure. To be pretty, to be skinny, to have sex and drink. We're not angry just frustrated. We all just want to be liked and to be happy. Everyone has an image of what teens today are and what they do. You feel like you are trapped in a box, overprotective parents that think you should be home all day, friends that don't think you are good enough, teachers that put on pressure. And then there is the stuff on T.V. Sometimes you feel like exploding and taking everyone down with you.

Here's my theory. A lot of parents are afraid to say "no", set limits or punish. If kids are allowed to have uncontrolled temper tantrums, they will grow into preteens and teens that have never had to deal with someone disagreeing with them. Some even go so far as to reward the child if they just stop screaming, hitting, bitting, etc. This doesn't work.

This also goes for teachers - some of which refuse to give detention, extra assignments or even call parents in when needed.

You have to learn to deal with disappointment and temper control when your young or you'll have a really bad time learning when your older.

I think part of the problem is that this is really the first generation of kids who have everything handed to them. Parents want to give their children everything they didn't have growing up, just like all parents for the last several generations. So what happens when you don't have to fight for what you want, or worry about what you'll eat or how you'll keep yourself dry? You start making things up to complain about. I think kids are angry because they have the time to be angry. They have the time to complain about what they don't like and they don't have the interest in making their lives better because their lives are already pretty darn good.

A lot of teens have raging hormones and that causes them to be angry one minute and happy the next. They get angry at many things though, most often elders trying to tell them what to do.

People tend to do what their society around them does.

When you look around you see wars, rumors of wars (which are started by adults)

You see adults robbing stores, adults raping, killing, etc etc.

Sooner or later your child is bound to follow society...

And since the adults are don't anything to stop this stuff aside from getting ANGRY. The children are starting to get ANGRY.

i think its b/c of all that have been going on in the last few years..and sometimes if you are not a Christian you can't always see whats going on but a lot has happened all over the world... I'm sorry if some teen as been angry to you.. but you just have to forgive them... and move on...

Parents aren't around enough and they are not looking after their kids. I would be angry if someone brought me in to this world and left me all alone.
