I just got a positive pregnancy test two days ago. I called my doctor and i got tomorrow for blood work but my first offical visit about the pregnancy isn't for another week and half. I am so scared. I did a pregnancy calendar to see how long i am from my last period and it estimates 8 weeks. I am getting prenatal viatamins tomorrow but today i started worrying about if my baby is okay, if it could have been a false positive, have i misscarriaged, and i am so scared. i want to be able to carry my baby all the way through this..... should i really be this worried. My breast were killing me up until 2 days ago.. they are still tender but not like they were well only really inthe mornings do they hurt bad. can this be a sign that somethings wrong with my tenderness decreasing. please someone help. this is my first pregnancy and i am so excited but worried about so much .

Please don't worry. Everything will be fine. Just relax and treat yourself and your baby really well. Get enough sleep, exercise, water, good food and fresh air if it's not too hot! Congratulations!

I would first say... relax! It sounds like you are doing everything right, by getting vitamins and Dr. appts. When I was pregnant my breast were very sore at first but then eased up - I think it's just part of it and doesn't really mean anything. Your body will be doing all kinds of weird things for the next 9 months, it's just been taken over by someone else. If you had miscarried - you would have a really heavy period - especially if you are close to 8 weeks. I've never had a false positive pregnancy test. A few false negatives though..... sigh. The main things are no alcohol, no smoking, eat foods with lots of folic acid, calcium - that kind of thing. Your doctor is the best bet for answering questions and telling you exactly what to do, just remain calm for the next week and a half. Also, I know my doctor had a nurse or staff member I could talk to if I had questions instead of having to wait to come in. Good luck!

You don't need to worry. Breast tenderness, etc will come and go throughout your pregnancy so don't worry about slight changes. Get the prenatals and eat healthy and you will be okay. Worries during pregnancy (especially the 1st when everything is new) are normal. But try and relax and take it easy. If you have a lot of questions about pregnancy go out and buy the book "What to Expect When You are Expecting". It answers just about any question you could have. This book was my pregnancy bible and helped me to know what was normal and what was not.

Your tenderness decreasing is fine. As your body gets used to the pregnancy hormones, many of the initial symptoms subside, which can be a godsend for people with severe morning sickness. You would know if you had miscarried because you would have severe abdominal pain and then bleed. Please try to relax. I don't know why some OB offices make people wait so long because it really gives them time to get worked up and you don't get to ask all of your early questions. You will be fine. Buy yourself a pregnancy book, like "What to expect when you are expecting," so you can learn all about what your body is going through and all of the crazy symptoms that are normal that you may or may not have.
Best wishes for a happy, healthy baby!

You would know if you have miscarried, it is like a heavy period. The first weeks of pregnancy feel almost exactly the same as just before your period starts and your breasts will feel more sensitive than usual. You need to relax, there are billions of people living on the planet and all of them were born from women. If it was so bad, women would have stopped having babies long ago.
I had 4 live births and 2 miscarriages

First of all congrats on your first baby, no there is no need to worry. I have had to miscarriages and there is no signs that you have miscarried. If you are feeling pain or bleeding you should see a doctor, these are the first signs of miscarriage, other wise you are going to be alright. I know how scary it is to be pregnant for the first time and not know what to expect, I'm sure every mother out there can vow to that! Just say a little prayer for your child and everything will be okay, you are just experiencing the beginning of a new life inside of you, letting you know that life is about to change for you and your family. Lots of luck and may the angels be with you and your child all the way!!!

Do Not worry that is just part of the pregnancy the breast tenderness and now the worrying you have to think your hormones are going crazy right now for your body is now working for two. It is better just for you to relax and if you are worried call your doctor and speak with them. They know how new mothers are and work to help them all they can just don't call 25 times a day.

Ok well freaking out is a very bad idea. Stay calm and relax. Your baby feels your anxiety.
Tenderness in the breasts does not last through the entire pregnancy, thats normal. Take your vitamins and remain calm. Follow your doctors advice and pick up a few baby books or magazines.

Nothing is wrong! You may not FEEL pregnant some days and other days you will be all too aware of it. Calm down and rest confidently and assured. Go with the excitement. You KNOW you're pregnant. 8 weeks is a pretty good promise that a sweetie pie is on the way... just 38 weeks to go!! Congratulations! Simmer down, now!

You will be fine, start taking your folate suppliment, and try to enjoy this early stage of pregancy i am 33 weeks pregnant with baby no 3 and i had all the same worries and concerns as you when i fell pregnant with baby no 1 when i was 17.
If you had miscarried you would have has severe stomach like cramps and heavy bleeding, Unless you have any medical conditions there should be no reason at all that you will not be able to carry your baby to term. My first baby was born at exactly 40 weeks via vaginal birth and my second baby was born at 38 weeks via c-section. and baby no 3 will be delivered via c-section on 11th sept. everythign will be fine just try to stop worring and email me if you want to talk......
