Honestly im not trying to be disrespectful or funny but Pocahontas is the closest to a Native American celebrity I know of in the US.

There are Asians- Gong Li, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, Kimora Lee and more I cant think of now, Black- Beyonce, Jay Z, Morris Chestnut, Stacy Dash and many more as well as Spanish-Eva Longoria, JLo and so on Biracial- Halle Berry, Nicole Richie and so on and of course Caucasian but I honestly cant think of any Native American ones.

I believe that Wayne Newton is at least part Native American. Cher may be, but I think her ancestry is Armenian. I am sure there are many famous people who have at least a small measure of Native American blood in them.

Are you sure???In addition to Wes Studi we can say Chief Dan George,Iron Eyes Cody,Billy Two Rivers,Jay Silverheels,Russell Means,Cher,Rita Coolidge,Cameron Diaz(blackfoot),Michael Greeneyes,Graham Greene and Eric Schweig the first(Inuit). www.nammys.com will give you more on the music side. If you pick the names one at a time and look them up,i'm sure that you will recognize a few faces. Graham Greene is a good start. If you saw Clint Eastwood's "The Outlaw Josey Wales, remember a guy in a stovepipe hat??Peace.

Buffy St Marie was a famous folk singer in the 1960s.
Chief Dan George was a famous actor over several decades - I like him best in Little Big Man.
Graham Greene has done some great stuff, from Dances With Wolves to Maverick.

They're out there. Many got their starts in westerns, of course, but if you can find them there and research their names, you should be able to find other work they've done.

Darren Burrows, also from "Northern Exposure."

Irene Bedard, from the film "Smoke Signals," and the speaking voice of Disney's Pocahontas. Quite a hottie herself, too.

And of course, anyone who's Mexican or Latin American most probably has some indigenous people's blood in their gene pool.
