"Pffft" is an expression first introduced in the Opus the Penguin comic by Berkeley Breathed. It is used by Bill the Cat, a mangy disheveled character with apparently no attention span at all.
In short, "pfft" means "not listening".

it's an expression. it doesnt stand for anything if thats what you're wondering. its like 'ew' or 'ugh'.
read it and sound it out.
for example, someone might say: pfft, what kind of question is this?
