"Pffft" is an expression first introduced in the Opus the Penguin comic by Berkeley Breathed. It is used by Bill the Cat, a mangy disheveled character with apparently no attention span at all.

In short, "pfft" means "not listening".

read it and sound it out.
for example, someone might say: pfft, what kind of question is this?
