The Wings are not in a "rebuilding" stage. With Dasuk, Zetterberg, and Lidstrom, they are just reloading. If Hasek stays injury free, Detroit will be one of the teams to beat. With Osgood as a back up, Hasek should be well rested come playoff time because Osgood will be able to carry some of the load. And never rule out Wings GM Kenny Holland making a great deal during the season. But if Hasek can stay health and rested, then Detroit will be the team to beat in 2007.

i don't think he will help much cuz he is always injured. his age will be a factor. will they be the team to beat with him? i think not because they are a different team without yzerman, and shanny. what i mean is that they won't have yzerman's great leadership or shanny's scoring and playmaking skills. it will be a big void to fill but i look forward to seeing if they can keep up with the better younger western teams. they need a forward who can score like shanny did and a center who can carry the team. the best that they will do in the west this season is anywhere between fourth and eigth place. their days of being dominate are over. they won't be too low in their division becuz their division is weak besides the nashville predators. i think they will be second place in their division. the defense has to be tighter to win it all. the only way the wings will win the stanley cup with the dominator is if they play well in the postseason. datsyuk and zetterberg must carry the team with scoring in the post season. they need a strong leader to help pull the weight of the team. when hasek is healthy he is one of the best goalies. i say just wait and see what he can do.

Not at all. He is not even expected to play the whole season and they could make the movie Miracle 2 if he does not get hurt over the course of the season. Very solid goalie when he is healthy but lately has not been to healthy therefore no he does not make the Wings the team to beat although they will be tough as always.

The problem of the wings is not about goaltending. Manny and Chris did a great job last year. Hasek is old and his injury last year with the Senators doesn't help him at all! The season is too long and he will be tired before the playoff has even begun!

The Wings are deep fried my friend Hasek can't help that much and the loss of Shanny and Stevie Y kinda rips out the soul of that team.. as for Hasek he is a frail old man who can't stand the riggers of a full 82 game season anymore theres a reason he retired a few years ago he couldn't do it anymore.. sorry man Legace would be better. ...

DK, are you severe? So Tom Brady, who's in accordance to you the desirable QB of all time, ought to in basic terms manufacture 13 factors against the Ravens, and you fairly think of Tim Tebow might have led the Broncos to better than thrice that many against that comparable protection? i recognize you hate Peyton and there are no lengths you will no longer bypass to so as to degrade him, yet it extremely is extremely outrageous EVEN FOR YOU. no longer even pass Bayless himself might ever say that, on OR off the digicam. Tebow against Baltimore may be solid for a snigger. He might take one look at Ray Lewis and very nearly crumple on his very own after each and every snap. there is not any longer a unmarried issue he ought to do against that protection. He might in all probability get benched via halftime, if something.

Dominator may prove me wrong but I think the once great Wings are well on their way to being called the "Dead Things" once again....

Too bad too.

Are you kidding? A 41 year old goalie whose played, what, 40 games in the last four years?

Not likely.

Great stopper in his day, but that was the day before yesterday.
