yes hon it is... i am 16 wks right now and cramping like hell. i have had 3 children already, and it is quite normal- it is simply your uterus expanding to make more room for your little one. now, if the pain gets severe, as in you are curled up in a ball crying your eyes out, go get checked out just to be safe. with my first one i cramped terriable and panicked, just to find that my uterus was expanding for the baby, and the 2nd one my apendix had ruptured. you are the best judge of how you feel... if you feel that something isnt right, tell the doctors.... but in almost all cases, it is more then normal. no reson to panick hon. hang in there and enjoy the fact that you will be bringing a beutiful little someone into this world. :)

OK, this is actually an answer to a previous question that you asked about lifting weights during pregnancy. Lifting weights is perfectly fine! I have three kids(4, 3, and 1) and am 14 weeks pregnant right now. I have to carry them all othe time. I am running 3 miles 3x a week, and taking a weight class 2x a week with 18-25lb weights. The only things that you have to be careful about while lifting weights is not to fall over, as your balance changes (you might try doing your standing weights sitting on a bench or chair, and doing squats and lunges w/o weights), and not laying flat on your back( I use an exercise ball for those exercises).
As for the cramping, slight cramping is normal. It might be gas, or just your muscles streching around your new baby.
Congrats, and I hope things turn out GREAT for you!

i had cramping at about 16weeks and went to the ER the doc told me that it was normal that it was because the baby is growing and pushing on and stretching your insides he told me to take Tylenol and to use a heating pad to help with the pain if your worried then talk to your doctor just to be sure and good luck

Yes, of course. Your little one is growing and your tummy needs to make room. A good book to read for your first preg. is "what to expect when you are expecting" this book gives you a lot of answers to questions you wouldn't probably think about. also give you month by month what to expect... you can find it at any book store just inquire at the desk.

When I was pregnant the first time..I had some cramping around that time. But it is always safer to ask your doctor and see what they say and make sure its nothing more serious
