You should ask the person that is applying for the job to get their work history. But now in the age of computers, just using a person's social security number will get you lots of information if you know where to use it. You can track anywhere someone got a paycheck with the social security number. But that is a little illegal - you may just want to ask the person for it.

you don't. that information has to be provided by the worker. an employer can ask for it on an application, but previous are not willing to say anything about a former employee other than whether the person was employed. if they do say something, and its wrong or slanderous they can be sued.

as an individual you normally cant. if and if you are an employer there are sources the the proper authorization by the person being requested on. your local police department is usually one that can provide that information,

No such thing. If you don't know you own work history, Nobody does. But, if someone does (government), then we are in big trouble. Big brother is watching.
