I'm a teen and the reason i want 2 have 1 is 'cause their so cute and I that im responible enough.but other girls just want 2 tick their parents off or get back at them for something they did.but my big bother and his gilfriend thought they were ready to have a baby but they found out they weren't and now it's only a few months 'til the baby is due.

I am not a teen but I don't want to bash them, I want to understand too..I am a gyn in a developing country and every time I check a teen who is pregnant I get worried and ask her some questions to try to figure out which is her reason and maybe thinking about preparing some survey that can explain me this better and why not act towards improving education...I normally ask if they knew the risk of getting pregnant when they have intercourse, if they say yes, I ask if they knew there were methods to avoid a non wished pregnancy, and I ask too if they knew we give them for free at the hospital, if they say yes, I ask if they wanted to have a baby,,,if the question is yes..I think to myself *OK is their choice but even though I try to make them understand the difficulties of having a baby at that age and sometimes without the support of the family..if they say no..I never found a good reason for their part to know why they got pregnant..so I think about a few things: First I honestly believe many times pregnancy is a way to get out of a bad familiar situation ( say a hitting father) and other times teens think they know everything and they are smart enough to be happened with that if you got what I mean ( they think they wont have mistakes..only their "silly" classmates for example)

I wanted to have a baby because I was already pregnant. I got pregnant at 17 while on birth control. I don't and never will believe in abortion. After I found out I was pregnant, I wanted my child.
For others it may be that they are lacking love from their parents, they have no self esteem, their friends have babies and they think it will be easy.

I'll be 17 in November and i'll admit that I have wanted a baby... I have a boyfriend of 3 years and I love him more than anything so obviously that has something to do with it. Obviously i'm not just going to go get pregnant at 16.. but i'm in a serious relationship and in a few years I want to start my life.. and have children. But I know i'll have to wait until i'm almost done with highschool for the sake of the kid and myself.

they want to have a baby because they think it is fun and also think they have it all to do for a baby and also they think that there boyfriend will help them but realy the boy will say any thing to get between those legs and when you say you are going to have a baby they say i will take care of it and when the baby is born they say o i am not the daddy or i not takeing care of it and i do not want any thing to do with you and i am not pregnant but iam just telling them how those boys are to those girls...................................sorry if i did not anwer your question

This is not bashing
They are stupid, there on the crest of womanhood and they are emotionally jumping around (10 one minute 25 the next) and they are really receptive to other young women around them, especialy older ones. This is why.

well, im a teenage girl and i must admit i did think about it...i dont know why though...maybe cuz they wanna prove that they're old enough to be responsible...or maybe their minds are really mature now cuz i have realized that more girls are getting really mature for their age and they think like an adult in some cases.

they don't understand the responsibilities of raising a child, so they tend to think that's all they need. unfortunately, our culture teaches a girlfrom an early age that she is to be a mother. some just take it forward before the time is right.

I don't want to get pregnant yet, but they may have been abused and want to show their parents that they are better parents.

Probably because they want to grow up fast and like kids, so they think they want one. Personally, I think it's stupid..
