To get an avatar (cartoon picture) Go to your Q&A, click edit my info, click 'create my avatar', make it how you want it, click 'save changes', close the page, check the box 'Use my avatar'. Then wait, it can take a few days to show up, but you don't need to do anything else.

Seach for avatar on yahoo. Most people have yahoo e-mail and make up an avatar from there.
