It is probably both. Some people who were molested and rape by people of the opposite sex, usually grow up and become homosexuals, some people get tired of the opposite sex messing with their heart so they try something new (homosexuality) they like it ,and then they stick with it.

It can also be a defect especially since there is so much pollution in the air and now with everyone trying to get nuclear weapons, just think about how many defects you will be seeing running around in the future. thirteen arms, 7 eyes, 4 noses

Sorry, but you cannot use the words, "common Sense" in anything you write, for you are totally devoid of any thing remotely related to common sense. I am very sorry you are having such a tough time coming out of the closet...hang in there, keep your chin up, things will get better. Just find the nerve to say, I'm Gay and its ok. You can do it...so much easier than being bitter that everyone else has balls enough to do it and you don't . But then, some are born meek, humble, and shy....it is a genetic thing found in the gene pool. Your pool is more akin to a swamp. And, as an added benefit to me, I have read some of these "Informed" answers and am LMAO...such ignorance...it is just wonderful. No wonder it is easy to make money in the world..there truely is a fool born every minute.

I don't see it as a genetic defect but more like a natural variation. There has been homosexuals since before the flood. Kind of like the difference between having green eyes and blue eyes.

They've found it in Animals too, it's too commonplace to be a defect. That's like calling blue eyes or brown hair a defect. Between 2% and 10% of the population is either Bisexual or Homosexual.

Homosexuality is NOT a genetic defect. It occurs when an adrenaline-like hormone is secreted when the mother is stressed and crosses the placenta to the fetus.

study the object. finished waste of time. hypothesis assumes that religiosity is genetic based on the style of young ones religious human beings have vs non. What they fail to evaluate is that non-religious are open to using contraceptives on an identical time as fanatically religous all and sundry isn't. besides, the religiosity is propagated via indoctrination of the toddlers and being that religious often have extra desirable families, the indoctrination spreads wider around the inhabitants. Religiosity is promptly laid low with the point and form of education that individuals gain.

Of course it's normal. It's how God made me. But just because it's normal for me, doesn't necessarily mean it's normal for you. Ignoring or denying any of God's gifts to us would be a shame and perhaps even a sin.

When we can recognize that each person is unique, and stop thinking that some of us are "better" than others [including religions], won't the world be a much better place to live in?
