My husband works at night, we have a 8 month old daughter and before she came along we had the same schedule. Now i barely see him due to the seperate sleeping and awake times, i want to spend more time with him, but during the day when he wakes up he has errands to run, or wants to play golf with his buddies. I no longer work and am a stay at home mom, and would like him to be able to have fun but want to do things as a family also. and i feel bad when i get mad when he wants to golf because he loves it and works 6 days a week, but it takes up the day for us to spend together b4 he goes to work. any ideas for all of us to do as a family, besides go to the mall.

First of all you guys need to sit down and talk, tell him how you feel and let him tell you why he feels he needs to do things he wants. Then tell him you would like to set a side one night a month for "Date" night, get your selves a babysitter. Have a romantic night at home, or go to a movie. As a family you could go to parks, walks, swimming, have a family picnic.

When you guys talk, just tell him how much you miss him, and that you love him.

My husband is pretty busy as well, but I make it a point that we spend dinners together. The dinners need not be fancy, sometimes, we just have sandwiches, but it gives us an hour or so to catch up and talk about our day.

Also, we usually watch our favorite shows on TV at night. I think you should talk to your husband about giving up golf once a month so that you could have family day with your kid. It doesn't need to be a full day, you could just take walks at the park, or at the beach, or even rent a DVD and watch it at home.

This is a tough time for you it is tough to do things with a child so young. If you both realize this you will just enjoy sitting around with the baby until she is old enough to do things on the outside.
Ok here it is I am a guy and a father,, a dam good one I would like to think. You must keep the sex going. Us men respond to that well. I know it may not rate on some womens charts but we do equate that with love. try that I think it will keep him home.
