Lets say the government takes a radical turn and everyone will now pay a 75% flat tax, and the proceeds will be used to feed, clothe, educate and medicate the world for the good of all mankind. Would you happy to go along with this? Would the concept of drastically reducing your standard of living for the benefit of people on other continents be too abstract to motivate you?
I posit that this is why there can be no such thing as a Utopian society, or a kinder, gentler society. (ala Bush I) Its just not possible for humans. What do you think?

6 people answered, and three immediately proved that they did not comprehend the question or the contex in which it was asked. 2 people gave very general answers in which it was impossible to judge whether or not they understood the question. One person answered in such a way that made it clear there were actually some neurons firing in the brain.
I am NOT advocating socialism you products of the public school system!
