i drink nothing but water all day evreyday - trying loose weight...anyways; before my urine was always clear but lately it has been getting darker and darker yellow...is something wrong? i have no symtoms of a bladder infection, but sometimes my lower back hurts. kidney infection? how?

i wasn't saying that i only drink water and nothing else..i eat very healthy..fresh fruits and veggies..lots of lean protein..you know...to the person who asked how hot it is where i live...very hot and my landlord won't fix my A/C over 90 degrees in my aptment everyday

Darkening urine is a sign of extreme dehydration - if u are eating lots of protein, this places extra pressure on the kidneys to remove the excess urea formed from the break down of the amino acids (which contain lots of nitrogen). The body will use up water to flush this nitrogenous waste out. As to the hot apartment - sit in a wet sheet - the evaporation will cool u down.
You say that u are drinking lots of water, but i would suggest you are not drinking enough. If you are not eating much else in an attempt to lose weight, then you would need to drink 7 to 8 glasses - normally u dont drink this much as the body will gain this water from the food that u eat.

It is imperative that u go to the GP as this is a bad sign, especially with lower back pain.

I hope you mean that water is your only beverage. I hope you are eating nutritious food.

If you are not eating any food, and are only taking in water, and you've been doing this for a while, then your body is breaking down muscle as well as fat. This is why starvation diets are so bad for you.

If you are taking in less than 800 calories a day, you are breaking down your body. You are also training your body to operate at a lower metabolic rate.

STOP. EAT. Just make sure that you are eating nutritious food --- whole grains, unprocessed fruits and vegetables, and lean proteins such as fish, turkey and chicken.

You won't lose weight fast, but you didn't put it on fast either. It takes time.

Just water isn't a very healty diet, is it? Darker urine can be a symptom of several things. Lower back pain can be a symptom of bladder infection. Eat healthier, excersise to lose weight and see a physician. Good luck

you may be drinking to much water try and drink some cranberry juice this may help the lower back pain this will also help if you have a bladder infection or you could very well have small kidney stones

u shouldn't be drinking only water. how about changing ur diet. like having cereal and a fruit 4 breakfast and lunch and having dinner regulary?

possibly or you are burning the protein of your body by not eating enough.Also a lot of water can lower the acidity of your urine letting bacteria get into your urinary tract. Get check up with Doctor please!

When you overload your kidneys, they WILL cry and make sure that you hear that by making you feel pain. Better go to a doctor.
